Samsung Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 launched on November 3
Samsung has launched two of its latest smartphones – Samsung Galaxy On5 and Samsung Galaxy On7 in India. These have been made exclusively available on Flipkart since November 3rd midnight. Both Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 are budgeted smartphones targeting the young users.

Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy On5 has a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) TFT display, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and 1.5GB RAM. It sports an 8MP rear camera (autofocus) and a 5MP front camera. It has 8GB internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options on the Galaxy On5 include 4G LTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, and Wi-Fi b/g/n. It has a 2600mAh battery, measures 142.3×72.1×8.5mm, and weighs 149 grams.
The features of the Galaxy On7 are almost identical to the Galaxy On5, except for the fact that it has a larger display, different processor and larger battery. Also, it has a higher resolution rear camera sensor. At 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) TFT display, Galaxy On7 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB RAM. It sports a 13MP rear camera (autofocus) and a 5MP front camera. The Samsung Galaxy On7 also has an 8GB of internal storage and is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). It runs on a 3000mAh battery, measures 151.8×77.5×8.2mm, and weighs 172 grams. There are 2 color variants for both models- Black and Gold.
Both devices will face a tough competition from the smartphones like Meizu m2, Meizu m2 Note, Lenovo K3 Note and Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime as they have similar features within the same price range. The Samsung Galaxy On5 has been priced at Rs. 8,990, while the Samsung Galaxy On7 will sell at Rs. 10,990. There will also be an exchange scheme for those who wish to upgrade from older phones and a 10% cashback offer on Standard Chartered and American Express Debit/Credit Cards.
