Pepsi P1 Launched
Pepsi has finally launched Pepsi P1 in China and amazingly it turns out to be a budget android smartphone. Priced at 699 yuan ( approximately Rs. 7200) for first 1000 units , Pepsi plans to turn up some heat in the smartphone industry. After the first units are sold , users need to shell out 999 yuan ( approx Rs.10.5K) which sounds fair to what Pepsi P1 is offering.
Pepsi P1 comes with dido OS which is built on top of Android 5.1, so users will have the flexibility of using this smartphone properly . Additionally it has 16GB on board memory, 2GB RAM, 13 MP primary camera with F/2.0 and 5 MP secondary camera. Additionally, it also has finger print sensor at the back above the Pepsi logo which is somewhat missing in budget smartphones and some high-end ones.
You might think that with these features in it and at such a price , the screen size and quality would be compromised . Well, it was not . Pepsi P1 comes with a 5.5 inch FULL HD display and 4G compatibly. Apart form this it is powered by 3000 mAh battery and Mediatek processor. This also provides a feature of hybrid storage capability same as OnePlus X, i.e. you can either use it as a dual sim phone without expandable memory or use is as a single sim phone with expandable storage option .
Since this phone is listed in crowdfunding website JD Finance, Pepsi needs to raise a capital of 3 million yuan by 3rd December . We hope that it does achieve 3 million yuan as it would be fun to see how it will perform globally.
It might somewhat be hard to believe for people to see soft drink giant coming into smartphone industry. Imagine , what would happen if some other giants in other businesses entering smartphone industry. Probably it might create a chaos but we never know. Please comment below of what you feel about Pepsi P1.
