Meizu Technology co. launched Meizu M2, the budget phone by the company this week in India. The phone is priced at Rs.6999 and will be available on Meizu’s e-commerce partner Snapdeal exclusively. The registrations for the phone are already opened and the phone will be on sale from October 12.
Meizu M2 Design
The Meizu M2 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD HD display(720×1280 pixels) resolution with the protection of AGC DragonTrail protective Glass. The GFF lamination technology minimizes the reflection and improves display quality. It has ~294 ppi pixel density.
The dimensions of the phone are 140.1×68.9×8.7mm and weighs 131g. It has ~71.4% screen to body ratio.
The body is made from a polycarbonate unibody making it uniform and light. Two nano-SIM cards can be inserted into one single tray in the M2. The card tray supports microSD cards with a storage capacity of 144GB.
Meizu M2 Performance
Meizu M2 runs a 64-bit Mediatek MT6735 Quad-core processor. The processor has four advanced 1.3GHz Cortex A53 cores and the for graphics it has Mali-T720 GPU.
The processor is supported by 2GB of RAM which provides a smooth multitasking experience.
Meizu M2 OS
M2 runs on Meizu’s Flyme OS 4.5 system based on Android 5.1. It will be updated soon to Android v6 Marshmallow enabling better storage and battery management.
Meizu M2 Camera
Meizu M2 packs a 13 mega-pixel (4208×3120 pixels) CMOS camera. It gives zero-delay shooting technology.
The front camera is a 5 mega-pixel snapper upgraded by FotoNation system which enables it to share pictures easily.
Meizu M2 Price
M2 is a budget phone and keeping in the mind the popularity of budget phones in India like the YU Yuphoria, Yunique, Xiaomi Redmi Prime,M2 is priced at Rs.6,999. The price keeps it in competition with the other phones which have already establishes their market.
Meizu M2 Storage
M2 has an internal storage of 16GB with an option to expand its memory up to 128GB via microSD card. It only has one memory variant.
Meizu M2 Battery
Meizu M2 has a non-removable 2,500 mAh battery which is more than its competitor Yuphoria and Redmi 2 Prime.
Meizu has 46 customer service centers across 33 cities in India. Xiaomi has service centres in India but YU televentures does not, which gives a point to Meizu. M2 also has a higher battery capacity. It also supports dual-SIM cards with 4G LTE,3G and other connectivity technology. The phone comes in gray, white, pink and blue which gives more options than Yuphoria.
