LG G4 vs Samsung Galaxy S6

LG and Samsung are having the top selling smartphone models. Upcoming models LG G4 and Samsung Galaxy S6 will surely rock the world of smartphone enthusiasts in 2015. The battle between Korean rivals and LG was pretty back and forth this year, but thanks to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 the former managed to win. Galaxy S5 on the other hand couldn’t beat LG G3, which was considered by many to be the absolutely best smartphone on the market when launched. But that’s all past and now let us look into the next major battle between the two tech giants, the two 2015 upcoming novelties and tech items everybody will be impressed by  – LG G4 and Samsung Galaxy S6.

Some features we will see in both are a faster processor, better camera, multiple internal memory options, and more. Both smartphones are expected to be improved versions of their  predecessors. Moreover, their predecessors were priced similarly at launch, so we suspect that we will see the same scenario in these two handsets as well.  So let’s kick off our comparison among these two-:

Moving on to the Galaxy S6, which has been all the hype recently. Much like the LG G4

, Samsung might include a 4K display on its upcoming 2015 flagship.  Samsung’s Galaxy S6 will boast a 5.4 inch screen panel. LG’s G4, on the other hand, is rumored to feature a 5.5 inch screen display. Both with quad HD (1440 x 2560) pixel resolution and both are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s next generation Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4 GB of RAM. LG has announced a screen with a slim bezel, even smaller than that of G3. The display has a 0.7 mm bezel compared to the already impressive 1.15mm. This hasn’t been confirmed for use in the G4 but it’s perfectly possible.

Both the G4 and S6 will come with 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants with micro SD slot for additional storage. LG has announced its own Nuclun processor which is rumored to feature in the G4. The Nuclun is an octa-core processor with LTE-A Cat 6 network capabilities to allow for 4G speeds up to 300mbps

Operating system

Being Android-based smartphones, both handsets will run with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Samsung’s S6 is rumored to sport a 17 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization technology, while LG’s G4 will pack a 20 megapixel camera at the back with the same technology and a 3 to 4MP front snapper while S6 with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

Release date

Just as the iPhone 6 and Galaxy Note 4 were expected to launch in September we expect the Galaxy S6 to launch close to MWC. In fact, the Galaxy S5 was announced earlier last year, MWC 2015 is scheduled for 2 March so we fully expect the Galaxy S6 to be unveiled close to this date  at an unpacked event.

While for LG G4, LG has launched its last two smartphones in Q2 and Q3. That’s a little different but going on a yearly cycle, we expect the G4 to arrive around the same month this year – May or June seems the most likely.

Galaxy S5 got the price tag of the 750 USD in the beginning and was later sold for little less with time and same thing could happen in the case with the Galaxy S6 price. The price of Galaxy S6 would be maintained in the range between 750 and 800 USD Max.

For G4 – as a flagship smartphone it will have a premium price tag but we hope LG can keep the tradition of making it cheaper than rivals. We bet on the 550 USD mark.

Again we’ll have to remind you that these are still unconfirmed features most likely to be expected. If the rumors prove out to be true, then it will be hard for buyers to choose between these two handsets. LG is doing great in the marker as LG G3 is right now considered to be one of the best smartphones . Nevertheless, we do expect the LG G4 to offer even more. But we are sure that both the Galaxy S6 and LG G4 will turn out to best next generation devices of 2015 that will blow our minds.
