iOS 9:  Apple’s Latest Operating System

Apple has launched its new operating system “iOS 9” at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2015 on June 8, 2015.The full public release will be in  Autumn 2015. iOS 9 is the ninth release of the iOS mobile operating system designed by Apple Inc. It is the successor of iOS 8. The new operating system focuses on the battery improvements. It provides various new applications as well and configure previous applications in a better way.

iOS 9 Features

iOS 9 have many new features than its previous versions. It focuses on to increase the efficiency of the smart phone. Thus provide new applications and focus on battery improvements.It is full of enhancements and we will appreciate every day.The apps become more essential. New multitasking features on iPad make you even more productive. iOS 9 adds a new app to the Home screen. News conveniently collects all the stories you want to read, from top news sources, based on topics you’re most interested in — so you no longer need to move from app to app to stay informed. Features that are in iOS 9 are as follows

1. Apple Maps

Apple has tried to increase its map applications. In the previous iOS there was so much difficulty to find locations, traffic and various routes as well. But this time Apple has tried to improve the Maps but it’s still not quite a match for Google Maps.

2. Keyboard Design

Apple users have long been frustrated by the shift key on iPhone and iPad keyboards, which, when pressed, simply changes from black to white. Users complained that the change is too subtle, so iOS 9 introduces a large tweak (by Apple standards) to make the all the letters on the keyboard change from upper case to lower case when the shift key is pressed.

3. Better Battery Life, Performance and Security

iOS 9 focuses on better battery life. It assumes that it increases an hour battery life of an iPhone. The new operating system also had tried to increase the performance of the smart phone and improved security using advanced encryption and new 6-digit passcodes for Touch ID-enabled devices.


The Passbook application is  replaced by Wallet in iOS 9 and will include many new changes such as support for store loyalty cards, Discover Credit/Debit Card support, and Apple Pay support in the UK.


iOS 9 includes a new News app which displays news from sources such as The New York Times, CNN, Wired, and ESPN.


It provides multitasking features and thus improves iPad productivity.
