Last year, Flipkart, online e-commerce website announced its first Big Billion Sale which offered products at unbelievable prices. Pendrives worth Rs.10-20, sounds crazy right? It was actually. Flipkart got so many orders that it could not fulfil the demands. People in Delhi couldn’t even buy anything and the Big Billion Sale was a disaster. It ended with agitated customers calling Flipkart fraud as they couldn’t keep their promises. However, Flipkart is now gearing up for another Big Billion Sale this year armed with better technology and resources. Flipkart and Myntra to work together for the Big Billion Sale
Flipkart claims they have boosted up their technology and supply chain support (courier services) to ensure all their 50 million customers can have the best ever mobile shopping experience.
In terms of their app, they have build a better and faster infrastructure and app stack to handle much bigger sales than last year.

Flipkart generated $100 million in 10 hours in its first Big Billion Day Sale even with the technical glitches which marred the sale in October last year. This also resulted in other e-commerce sites like Snapdeal to start their discount and continue the rivalry between the two. Snapdeal always takes chances to throw some dirt on Flipkart and Flipkart replies with friendly fire as well.
